API Craft is published by Florian Varrin, sole proprietor, Rue des Peupliers 7, 1400 Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

By purchasing or using API Craft you agree to these terms.

The product

API Craft is a desktop application and command-line tool for working with HTTP APIs. It runs locally on your machine; there is no hosted service and no account. Your project data is stored as files on your own disk and never transmitted to us.

API Craft is pre-1.0 software. It is under active development, and while the core feature set is tested and used daily, you should expect occasional defects. Features marked "coming" on this site are not part of the product you are buying.

Purchases and the merchant of record

Paid licenses are sold through Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), our merchant of record. Paddle operates the checkout, is the legal seller of record for your purchase, handles VAT and sales tax, and appears on your bank statement. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the transaction itself; these terms of sale apply to the product and license.

License

  • The Free tier requires no purchase and no account. It is limited in quantities (APIs, environments, workflows, history) but not in core capability.
  • A Pro license is personal: it is issued to you, may be used on all machines you personally use, and is not transferable. It is valid for one year from issuance.
  • The license is delivered as a signed file by email, normally within 24 hours of purchase. It is verified locally by the application; no network connection is required to use it.
  • When a license expires, the application reverts to Free tier limits after a 14-day grace period. The application then refuses to edit or run items over a Free limit until you are back under it. This restriction lives in the application only: your files are never modified, locked, or deleted; they are plain files in your repository and remain fully readable regardless of license state.
  • A Pro license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It does not renew automatically and nothing is charged again unless you buy another license yourself. The application warns you 30 days before expiry.

You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the software or license files.

Refunds

See the refund policy. In short: 14 days, write to us, no interrogation.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it is error-free or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the use of the software is limited to the amount you paid for your license in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above changes when we do. Material changes affecting an active license will be communicated by email.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is the canton of Vaud, Switzerland, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
